Over £120,000 raised for our chosen charities

A message from the PW7 Foundation trustees:

“On behalf of the Peter Whittingham (PW7) Foundation we are pleased to announce that through a combination of direct website donations & funds raised at the PW7 memorial match hosted on 30th November against Aston Villa, the Foundation has raised just over £120,000. All of these funds will be distributed equally to the three registered charitable beneficiaries (Winston's Wish, Cardiff City in the Community & a bursary for Peter's old School).

The Trustees would like to thank everyone for their kind donations, the CORE team for their help with the PW7 website, the Cardiff City Staff & Board for making the memorial match such a special day & of course the fans.

Looking ahead, the focus for the trustees will now be to raise further funding over the coming years with the aim of creating an asset base to facilitate a perpetual gifting income stream to the three beneficiaries. The medium term intention is that the foundation will be something that his two young boys can build on in the future, if they so wish.”
